～ 妖精が住む木の小箱　～

扉を開けると、そこは妖精の住む世界。
木の小箱の中で細工品を作りながら森で暮らしている・・・
店名のグノーム（=妖精）をイメージし、まるで妖精の工作室のような美容室をデザインしました。

まず店内はラワン合板貼りで木の小箱を表現し、天井に幾何学模様を白で塗装しました。
白の三角形は木目との対比で浮き上がって見え、空間にリズムを与えます。
またこのグラフィックにより、天井高CH=2400mmという店舗にしては低い天井を意識させないよう、視線を操作しました。
そして同時にこのモザイク模様は、おとぎ話の世界や異次元へつながる入口ではないかと、イマジネーションを広げる演出でもあります。
また床を白のPタイル貼りにして白の面積を多くすることで、施術中にカラーリングの色を視認しやすくしました。消毒スペースの一部を白にしたのもこの理由です。
セットミラーは、目の錯覚で映り込みが膨張して見える円形を採用し店内を広く見せると同時に、おとぎ話の中にいるような浮遊感を表現。
外装は店名のクリニックを意識し、清潔感のある白を選択。モルタルで壁に凸凹の表情を付け、ハンドメイドの温かみを加えました。
そして南面には木漏れ日をイメージし、大きさの異なるFIXの小窓を分散。光を取り込みながら、外から店内が見えすぎないよう配慮しました。
妖精が住む木の小箱。今日も小柄な美容師さんが楽しげに働いています。

When you open the door, you’ll find a fairytale world.
Gnomes are living in a forest and practicing their crafts in a small wooden workshop.

We imagined ourselves as Gnomes, which is also used for the name of this beauty salon “Gnome”, and designed the salon as if it was a little Gnome’s workshop
First, the salon is decorated in wooden lauan plywood, and geometric patterns are painted in white on the ceiling.
The white triangles stand out in contrast to the grain pattern of the wood and give rhythm to the space.
Also the effect of the geometric pattern influences your optical sense to make the low ceiling (CH = 2400mm) in the salon seem higher.
At the same time, this mosaic pattern can broaden people’s imagination. They feel like they’re at the entrance of a fairy tale world or a different dimension.
In addition, by increasing the white area using white P-tiles for the floor, the visibility of the hair coloring is heightened during treatment. The reason for making the sanitation corner white is the same.
The circular mirrors give the illusion of greater space , while at the same time creating a feeling of floating like being in a fairy tale.

お店に入ってこられたお客様からは、世界観があって　どこにもない空間だと言われます。
天井の模様が広がりを持たせてくれてるので、こじんまりとしてますが　狭くなく　シャンプーしてる時でも
飽きないので、常に異空間にいる感じで心地良いと評判です。
外からは少ししか見えないのでとてもリラックスしてもらえてます。
私自身の遣い心地も　小さいながらも動線がしっかり取れてて動きやすいのと
ちょうどいいくらいのお客様との死角もあり　作業がしやすいです。

一番心配してた自宅兼店舗で　生活感が出ないように。。。ですが、デザインのお陰で
隠れ家的なイメージで　センスのいいお客様に贅沢な空間時間を提供できてるようで
ほっとしました。

男性女性問わず、適応した空間。　私もですが、お客様に喜んでいただける贅沢なお店を
設計してくださりありがとうございました。

今回の物件は住宅の一部を美容室にというもの。柱をぬき梁と壁で補強したりとみため以上に大改装となってます。
天井が低いのを解消するという目的がデザインと直結してます。想像以上に効果がありました。
